In collaboration with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Lone Star Film Festival (LSFF) has announced director Julian Schnabel as the recipient of their Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition to the award, Schnabel will participate in a conversation with Texas film critic Christopher Kelly and the art museum’s Chief Curator Michael Auping. Following their discussion, a screening of Schnabel’s “Before Night Falls” will take place. Before Schnabel accepts his award the next day, LSFF will host screenings of his films “Basquiat” and “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.”
Previous winners of the prize include Jeff Bridges, Peter Bogdanovich, Billy Bob Thornton and Robert Duvall.
The 8th annual LSFF will take place from November 6-9.
