‘7 Days in Hell’ Creators Andy Samberg And Murray Miller Developing Doping Mockumentary for HBO

Last year Andy Samberg and Murray Miller gave audiences the hilarious mockumentary “7 Days in Hell.” Now, the duo is reuniting with HBO to develop a new sports doping flick, “Tour de Pharmacy.”

The upcoming comedy, written by Miller and starring Samberg, will take a look into the rampant doping in the world of professional cycling. Both will produce via their Legends of Sport banner and executive produce alongside David Bernad. M Elizabeth Hughes will also be producing.

Casting is underway but Daveed Diggs, Julia Ormond, Phylicia Rashad, Will Forte,  Dolph Lundgren, John Cena, Mike Tyson and Nathan Fielder are all attached to star. Jake Szymanski will direct and co-executive produce.

This is Miller and Samberg’s second collaboration with HBO. Their first venture together was in 2015 with the 45-minute mockumentary “7 Days In Hell.” Starring Samberg and Kit Harrington as rival tennis players, the film followed the athletes as they engaged in an epic seven-day final match at Wimbledon.

Samberg can be seen next in the fourth season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and be heard in Warner Bros. upcoming animated film “Storks.” Miller is an executive producer for the final season of “Girls.”
