Good ol’ John Oliver couldn’t leave us completely empty for more than a week. Before the show returns on July 24, Oliver dropped a short, pre-taped web exclusive in the spirit of something the “Last Week Tonight” host has continually railed into the ground, the presidential election — or, as he calls it, “Uncle Sam’s Rock-Bottom Yankee Doodle Suicide Pact 2016.”

As Hillary Clinton has received endorsements from Stevie Wonder and Oprah Winfrey, while Donald Trump has received endorsements from Kid Rock and Stephen Baldwin in a face-off that seems better than most blockbusters this summer season, Oliver decided to take it upon himself to hand out his own endorsements. While he won’t offer one to either candidate because his accent, as he says, only allows him to “endorse Prime Ministers, Viceroys and magical railway controllers,” he did have some random, eclectic and arguably important things to endorse outside of the realm of politics.

We won’t spoil his list, but let’s just say that it includes a jab at Tilda Swinton by questioning whether or not she’s a human and a horribly boring movie that, if you’re looking for a quick nap, Oliver says will “knock you the fuck out.”

Check out the clip below! “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” returns July 24th at 11pm Eastern only on HBO.
