Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

The Life & Death of an Unhappily Married Man

Tweetable Logline: With an unfaithful wife and dead-end job, a man travels across the country visiting his past to figure out where his life went wrong.

Elevator Pitch: From award-winning writer/director Josh Hope (Wild Blue), comes a dark-comedy about a man disillusioned by his failing marriage and dead-end career. His emotional desperation forces him to abandon everything behind and revisit his past to see where it all went wrong. Along his cross-country journey, he finds liberation from both familiar faces and one-of-a kind strangers. Tommy Beardmore (“Chicago PD,” “Kill Game”) gives a heavyweight performance along with a brilliant supporting cast including Rusty Schwimmer (“The Perfect Storm,” “North Country”), Kurt Conroyd (“Wild”), Robyn Coffin (“Chicago Fire”), and D’Arcy Fellona (“Gossip Girl”).

Production Team:
Josh Hope – Writer / Director / Producer
Mikki Raphael Rosenberg – Producer
Seth Savoy – Cinematographer
Christopher Hong – Editor

About the film: Funny enough, most of this film was based upon true events. That was enough motivation for us. We wanted to make a film about confronting life’s discontentment. The wins and losses, relationships, jobs, the things you wished you could take back, and those moments you wished you could revisit and revel. It’s courageous and dangerous to hit the road and uncover your past to find out why you’re where you are. We wanted to capture the vulnerability, agony, redemption, and even comedy that one experiences in this journey. And man, did we get it.
