Watch: Is 'Flesh and Bone' TV's 'Black Swan'? This Trailer Would Like You to Think So

READ MORE: Starz Gives a Series Order to ‘Flesh and Bone,’ a Dark Ballet Drama From ‘Breaking Bad’ Producer Moira Walley-Beckett

There’s a lot of intrigue surrounding the upcoming Starz miniseries, “Flesh and Bone.” For one thing, it’s created and executive produced by Moira Walley-Beckett, the standout “Breaking Bad” scribe who won an Emmy last year for writing the series’ infamous episode “Ozymandias.” The series, which follows a troubled young dancer as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York, is loosely based on Walley-Beckett’s own ballet experiences, and also stars a number of professional ballet dancers in prominent roles.

But the miniseries’ road to premiere has been a long and bumpy one. Months after Starz picked up the anticipated project to series, the pay cabler scaled back, deciding that it would work better as a limited, eight-hour production for fairly vague reasons.

Walley-Beckett’s resume and the originality of the premise kept interest alive, and now, with Starz dropping the miniseries’ debut trailer, “Flesh and Bone” once again has our full attention. Evoking “Black Swan” to a sizable degree, this minute-long tease is tensely operatic and deliberately eerie. It might not be the character-driven drama we’d expect from a “Breaking Bad” writer, but it’s definitely something, and it looks a fair amount different from anything else on TV at the moment.

Watch the full trailer above. “Flesh and Bone” premieres November 8 on Starz.
