'Boyhood' Leads Gotham Awards Nominations

The awards season has officially kicked off with today’s announcement of the nominees for the 24th annual Gotham Independent Film Awards.As previously announced, in addition to the competitive awards, Gotham Award Tributes will be given to Tilda Swinton, “Foxcatcher” director Bennett Miller and Industry Tribute recipient Netflix’s Ted Sarandos.

Richard Linklater’s hit “Boyhood” predictably led the pack with four nominations for Best Feature, Best Actor (Ethan Hawke), Best Actress (Patricia Arquette) and Breakthrough Actor (Ellar Coltrane),

The Gotham Awards ceremony will be held December 1 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

Spotlight on Women Filmmakers ‘Live the Dream’ Grant

For the fourth consecutive year, IFP is proud present the euphoria Calvin Klein Spotlight on Women Filmmakers ‘Live the Dream’ grant, a $25,000 cash award for an alumna of IFP’s Independent Filmmaker Labs. This grant aims to further the careers of emerging women directors by supporting the completion, distribution and audience engagement strategies of their first feature film.
