Cohen Media Group Acquires Deniz Gamze Erguven’s ‘Mustang’ Out of Cannes
Cohen Media Group announced today that it has acquired all North american distribution rights to “Mustang.”
The drama about five young, orphaned sisters is the feature directorial debut of Turkish-French filmmaker Deniz Gamze Erguven. Sexual repression is discovered amongst the sisters when they meet some boys at the beach of their Black Sea coastal town, and a stern neighbor tells the girls’ grandmother of their lewd behavior. The film gained some serious momentum and praise after showing at the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes.

Cohen Media Group is planning to release the film theatrically in early 2016.
