'Low Down' and 'E-TEAM' Take Home Top Prizes from New Hampshire Film Festival

The New Hampshire Film Festival has announced the winners of its International Film Competition portion of the fest.

Notable winners include the John Hawkes and Elle Fanning drama “Low Down,” which opens in limited release later this month, and the documentary “E-TEAM” which premieres on Netflix on October 24. 

“This was the most emotional festival yet,” said Nicole Gregg, Executive Director of NHFF. “We had so many powerful stories celebrating the entire spectrum of the human spirit—the good, the bad, the endurance, the heartache, the bravery…Movies show us what human beings are capable of accomplishing. That was taken to a whole new level this year, thanks to our incredible filmmakers.”

Screenplay Competition Grand Prize: Timucin Leflef,” Heroman” 
Best Student Film: “Paper Wrap Fire,” Directed by Raymond Yeung
Best Short Comedy: “Time Travel Lover,” Directed by Bo Mirossenni
Best Short Drama: “The Karman Line,” Directed by Oscar Sharp
Best Short Documentary: “Not Anymore: A Story of Revolution,” Directed by Matthew VanDyke
Best Animated Film: “Hanging by a Thread,” Directed by Catya Plate
Audience Choice Documentary: “Take Me To The River,” Directed by Martin Shore
Audience Choice Feature: “Manhattan Romance,” Directed by Tom O’Brien 
Best Documentary: “E-TEAM,” Directed by Katy Chevigny and Ross Kauffman
Best Feature: “Low Down,” Directed by Directed by: Jeff Preiss
Grand Jury Award – Documentary: “Becoming Bulletproof,” Directed by Michael Barnett
Grand Jury Award – Narrative: “Two Step,” Directed by Alex Johnson
