Watch: Bill Murray is Ditched Zooey Deschanel 'Rock the Kasbah' Trailer

Bill Murray goes to Afghanistan in the first trailer for Barry Levinson‘s “Rock the Kasbah.” Open Roads’ release opens in theaters on October 23, during the heat of awards season.

Written by Mitch Glaser (“Magic City”), the comedy stars Murray as Richi Lanz, a rock manager who takes his last remaining client (Zooey Deschanel) on a tour of Afghanistan. When she ditches him in Kabul and steals his money and passport, he’s forced to navigate his way through unfamiliar territory, eventually coming across a young woman with a promising voice.

Levinson’s films typically boast A-list casts and “Rock the Kasbah” is no exception. Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Scott Caan and Bruce Willis all co-star. Watch the first trailer above.
