‘Black Mirror’ Creator Charlie Brooker Reveals ‘San Junipero’-Inspired Playlist

The tracks for the newest episode include '80s hits to accompany the strange and mysterious love story.

Black Mirror” continued to surprise its fans in Season 3, especially by diverging from its future-set tales with an upbeat, ’80s inspired episode called “San Junipero.” The new episode follows two potential lovers in a small beach town where a mystery eventually unfolds, and show creator Charlie Brooker has graciously expanded the musical backdrop of the episode with a Spotify playlist of the songs, as well as other tracks that didn’t make the final cut.

The playlist includes catchy dance floor hits such as “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue, “Walk Like an Egyptian” by the Bangles, and Salt-N-Pepa classic “Push It,” to more emotional tunes such as “Killing Me Softly With His Song” by the Fugees and “How Can I Tell You” by Cat Stevens.
