The tribute, which is being billed as “Tim Burton: Melancholy, Mirth and Magic, Part 1,” has, as the title suggests, been split into two parts; one series and slate of films will be shown this year, while a different selection will be shown at an undetermined date sometime next year.

This year’s feature film selections are “Sleepy Hollow,” “Frankenweenie,” “Beetlejuice,” “Corpse Bride” and “Ed Wood.” Burton’s original “Frankenweenie” short from 1984, along with a 6-minute stop-motion short he made in 1982 called “Vincent,” are slated to screen with each feature presentation.

Screenings will be held October 31 thru November 6. Burton’s latest film, “Big Eyes,” starring Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz, opens in theaters December 25, Christmas Day.
