“Doctor Who“‘s upcoming premiere has fans of adventures through time and space salivating, and this new trailer from BBC One promises that new Doctor Peter Capaldi will be taking Clara (Jenna Coleman) and viewers alike on a trip into “darkness.”

Daleks, explosions and dinosaurs of both the lesbian (Madame Vastra) and the non-lesbian (T-Rex) persuasion abound in this first full-length trailer featuring Capaldi in action, which leaves us asking the same question the Doctor asks. Is he, in the end, a good man? Answers may be coming when Season 2 premieres on August 23.
