'Amira & Sam' Motion Poster Highlights Diverse Soldier-Immigrant Love Story

Sean Mullin’s “Amira & Sam”  breathes fresh life into the romantic-comedy genre by focusing on the diverse love story between an American solider home from war and his former Iraqi translator’s niece, an immigrant suspicious of soldiers. Starring Martin Starr (“Silicon Valley”) and newcomer Dina Shihabi, “Amira & Sam” tracks the pair’s relationship as immigration troubles and lucrative new business opportunities threaten to keep them apart. 

In addition to the new motion poster touting the film’s upcoming release, distributor Drafthouse Films is offering a special “Military Date Night,” in which all active duty and veteran military service members will be able to bring a date to see the film for free. Service members can present a valid Military ID at the box office to receive a free ticket.
