6 Must-Watch TV Shows and Movies on HBO NOW September 2015, from 'Wild' 'Ferrell Takes the Field'

This September HBO NOW is releasing their much-anticipated Will Ferrell project “Ferrell Takes the Field,” as well as the new season of executive producers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s “Project Greenlight.” Both shows will be released along with much more original HBO programming, Reese Witherspoon’s Oscar-nominated performance in “Wild” and the classic cult movie “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” in addition to many others. Catch them before they’re gone forever… from HBO.

Haven’t you always wanted to see your favorite comedians play baseball with your favorite teams? Well, Will Ferrell has finally given us that gift. Funny or Die is co-producing this docu-special where Ferrell plays 10 different baseball positions on 10 different teams during spring training 2015. This special is sure to be a favorite among Will Ferrell fans, and maybe the start of a new trend among comedians.

Indiewire Pick: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (1975)

Get your Rocky Horror show group together because now you can view the film with friends on HBO. The cult-classic premieres to stream with all your favorite characters: Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Janet, Brad, and more. Janet (Susan Sarandon) and Brad (Barry Bostwick) happen upon a castle one stormy night where they meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry). Once inside, they can’t escape the madness that the doctor has constructed in every room. Along the way, both characters change from their prudish-selves in the beginning to their cabaret-loving-selves in the end. Sing and dance along to your favorite Rocky Horror songs and “do the time warp again”. It’s time to get re-obsessed — or newly obsessed — with the unforgettable costumes and themes.

Indiewire Pick: “Thelma & Louise” (1991)

Director Ridley Scott’s classic starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis is ready to stream. Two women who are fed up with their lives decide to take a vacation together and on the way they run into trouble with the law. Finding strength in each other, Thelma and Louise live outside the world of the patriarchal system until, well, we won’t spoil the end for you. This Oscar-winning film is sure to bring back memories for some and inspire new ideas in others.
