'Outcast' Interactive Trailer: Spirits Run Rampant This Scary New VR Preview

The premiere for Cinemax’s latest suspense series “Outcast” is just around the corner. In anticipation of the thrilling new show, an interactive trailer created by Campfire, a part of SapientNitro, has been revealed that will most certainly give you nightmares.

Using 3D audio technology and eye-tracking software, the program creates an immersive experience that uses viewers’ behavior – in this case, opening and closing their eyes – to explore the premise of the show and interact with the horror of the series firsthand. A webcam and headphones are recommended to achieve the maximum viewing experience. Yes, it sounds creepy but if a webcam isn’t available or you don’t feel like using it, viewers can use the spacebar to prompt the video. When you enter the site, you’re quickly prompted to begin the experience, upon entering you see a black screen and then depending on what your actions are see crazy spirits, dead insects, a haunting eye ball and so much more.

You can experience it for yourself at www.PossessionBegins.com. Proceed at your own risk.
