Watch: Not So Silent ‘Silent,’ a New Animated Short By Oscar-Winning Moonbot Studios

Moonbot Studios, who won the 2012 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film with “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore,” has just released a new animated short entitled “Silent.” The film is anything but silent, following two aspiring silent film technicians who happen upon a magical organ. The fantastic instrument transports them through a vibrant evolution of cinematic sight and sound, with the film’s sound created by Oscar-nominated sound designer Steve Boeddeker (“All Is Lost”). “Silent” debuted at the Scientific and Technical Academy Awards on February 15th.
