A24 has already released the terrifying trailer for “Hereditary,” and now it’s time for the indie studio to shine a light on their second great indie of the year: Bo Burnham‘s “Eighth Grade.” The comedian’s directorial debut was one of the breakout hits of Sundance earlier this year, and now you can find out why in the first official trailer.
The official synopsis from A24 reads: “Thirteen-year-old Kayla endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school—the end of her thus far disastrous eighth grade year—before she begins high school.”
“Eight Grade” opens in select theaters July 13. Watch the first trailer below.
