Watch: Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon Reunite 'The Trip Italy'

In Michael Winterbottom‘s 2010 TV-morphed-to-movie “The Trip,” Steven Coogan and Rob Brydon strike up hilarious chemistry while dining, driving, and imitating Michael Caine through northern England. Now the sequel is on its way, finding the same pair doing a lot of the same things and more, this time in Italy.

Complete with smart 90’s references, snarky back-and-forth, and the sense that a lot of hilarious improv went down, “The Trip to Italy” is Coogan’s and Brydon’s comeback as the bickering rival/comrade duo. When Rob (Brydon) gets a role in a Michael Mann movie, the two set off on another romp-ish comedic escapade, playing off the established sort of married-couple relationship of the film’s predecessor.

The premiere date is August 21, 2014 for the Netherlands with the high likelihood of a U.S. release date later on (given Coogan’s escalating popularity). Check out the trailer below.
