The internet was abuzz with excitement earlier this month following the reveal of the trailer for “Planet Earth II,” a long-awaited continuation of BBC’s beloved nature show. “Planet Earth II,” which was shot in ultra-high-defintion and will once again feature the dulcet tones of Sir David Attenborough, just got a new trailer in addition to its stateside release date of Saturday, January 28 on BBC America.

“Ten years on, ‘Planet Earth II’ is a startlingly fresh and epic sequel from the world’s premiere natural history filmmaking unit at the BBC,” said Sarah Barnett, President of BBC America. “This extraordinary show captures our planet in innovative and mind blowing ways — there’s an emotional resonance to that which is remarkable to experience. We believe audiences of all ages will feel utter joy watching our stunning natural world unfold in ways we’ve never before seen.”

Six episodes have been filmed, bringing the series total to 17. Hans Zimmer composed the score for “Planet Earth II,” which bears no relation to the drone-metal album “Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version.” Watch the new trailer below.
