2015 Golden Globe Predictions: Best Supporting Actor

Indiewire’s Awards Editor Peter Knegt and TV Critic Ben Travers will
provide regular updates on the Golden Globe races leading up to the
ceremony on January 11, 2015.

Is this JK Simmons’ trophy to lose, as it appears to be the case for the Oscar race? We think the Globes might be more inclined to go with Edward Norton, setting up more of a showdown than we first suspected.

The Nominees:
Robert Duvall, “The Judge”
Ethan Hawke, “Boyhood”
Edward Norton, “Birdman”
Mark Ruffalo, “Foxcatcher”
J.K. Simmons, “Whiplash”

Will Win: Edward Norton, “Birdman”
Could Win: J.K. Simmons, “Whiplash”
Should Win: J.K. Simmons, “Whiplash”
Shoulda Been Here: Josh Brolin, “Inherent Vice”

Check out all our predictions (including the TV categories care of both Knegt and Indiewire TV Critic Ben Travers) here.
