The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced that the world premiere of Robert Zemeckis‘ “The Walk” at the 53rd Annual New York Film Festival will take place on Saturday, September 26 instead of the previously scheduled Friday, September 25. With Pope Francis scheduled to visit New York City on September 25, the date change was made for security and logistical reasons.

The premiere of “The Walk,” which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, will take place at Alice Tully Hall. All festival dates will stay the same.

NYFF will run from September 25-October 11 this year. Tickets for the festival will go on sale in September.
