Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s name will always be synonymous with his adrenaline-fueled action hero persona, but the 67-year-old actor is giving big guns and explosions a break in the upcoming zombie drama “Maggie.” Schwarzenegger’s rare dramatic performance drew raves after the movie’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere, and the star reflected on the experience during one of Indiewire and Apple’s Tribeca Talks at the Apple Store in Soho, Manhattan.

“Maggie” takes place in the midst of a zombie virus epidemic and finds Schwarzenegger as the loving father to a young girl, played by Abigail Breslin. After his daughter becomes infected by the deadly virus, he takes her home to his secluded farm and tries to emotionally and physically combat the inevitable tragedy to come.

Be sure to check out the full panel on iTunes in either audio or video form. Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions will release “Maggie” in theaters May 8.
