Transparent” has become Amazon‘s hit sensation. Created by Jill Soloway, the series starring Emmy-winner Jeffrey Tambor made its debut in 2014, and for those who haven’t had the opportunity to follow Mort’s (Tambor) touching story, Amazon has created a heartwarming three-minute video recap of the first two seasons of the show – just enough to entice you into watching the series.

The Emmy Award and Golden Globe-winning series follows the Pfefferman family patriarch, Mort, a retired college professor of political science who finally opens up to her family about always identifying as a woman. As the family’s secrets start to spill out, each of them spin in a different direction as they begin to figure out who they are going to become.

The first two seasons have been widely successful, garnering five Emmys and two Golden Globes, as well as being praised for talking about issues that the transgender community goes through. Soloway previously stated that she hoped to use the series to explore ideas of gender identity through a “wounded father being replaced by a blossoming femininity” and that she pictured Tambor as Maura when writing the character.

The critically acclaimed series was recently renewed for a fourth season and is currently up for 10 Emmys.
