Attention, Filmmakers: Apply to The Made in NY Media Center by IFP’s Summer Programs

The Made In NY Media Center by IFP just announced two new programs that will launch this summer: Creative >> Founder Lab and a first-of-its-kind workshop series designed to teach location-based storytelling. The new programs will offer artists all over New York City with an opportunity to create, network and collaborate this summer.

The Creative >>Founder lab is an eight-week program for creative-minded entrepreneurs looking to start their own creative business. Running from July 6 – August 24, the Lab will consist of workshops on pitch training, multimedia, project management, grant funding, marketing/PR and business development. 

Applications are now being accepted. The deadline to submit is June 15. Click through for more information.

“The Where of Storytelling: Creating Location-Based Experience” will consist of three different workshops that explore site-specific storytelling. The workshop is designed for creators interested in learning how to develop stories tied to a physical space. 

The Made in NY Media Center by IFP will also be giving away one free pass to the entire program to one filmmaker or media maker who has a preexisting project in mind that he/she would like to expand into a location-based story. The winning pitch will get free access to all three parts of the Location Series, and will have their location-based project installed in the Made in NY Media Center by IFP.
