Gravitas Ventures has nabbed U.S. rights to Peter Glanz’s “The Longest Week.” The comedy stars Jenny Slate, Olivia Wilde, Billy Crudup and Jason Bateman and is based on Glanz’s short film “A Relationship in Four Days,” which screened at the Cannes and Sundance film festivals. The film will be released theatrically and on Video on Demand on September 5th.

The film tells the story of a down-on-his-luck heir to fortune, Conrad Valmont, who get kicked to curb by his divorcing parents and fends for himself in big wide world by trying to woo Beatrice, his old buddy’s girlfriend. Things don’t go exactly to plan and Conrad soon comes to question the life he’s lead and the person he can ‘potentially’ become.

“With the film, Peter Glanz follows in the great tradition of Woody Allen, Whit Stillman, and Wes Anderson in incisively and hilariously portraying the challenges of falling in and out of love in Manhattan” remarked Nolan Gallagher, Founder and CEO Gravitas Ventures.
