Blake Lively stars in the upcoming psychological drama “All I See Is You” as Gina, a woman who regains her sight after a tragic car accident that took place in her youth. The wonder of sight quickly fades when Lively’s character realizes she’s been blind in more ways than one. The task of discovering her newfound self and the world around her begins as a fairytale, until the fantasy she’s lived inside stops holding up in the hard light of day.

Directed and co-written by Marc Foster (“World War Z”), “All I See Is You” also features actor Jason Clarke as Gina’s husband, who she can now see for the first time. Forster toyed with the use of our five senses while filming, experimenting ways to portray Gina’s life before surgery. Using only sight and sound, the audience is intimately invited into a unique viewing experience.

“When I make a film, my visuals are always guided by the motivation of both the character and the story,” Forster told Entertainment Weekly. “In this case, I wanted to find a way to tell a story without the limitations of traditional narrative devices, where I could literally embody a painter and create innovative and fluid visuals.”

If this trailer tells us anything, it’s that Blake Lively can do no wrong. After starring in “The Shallows,” a film featuring only herself, a seagull and a CGI shark, the actress seems to shine in particularly menacing movies. Forster’s new film showcases Lively’s growing potential to expand into bigger and more refined roles.

The supporting cast includes Danny Huston and Yvonne Strahovski (“The Handmaid’s Tale”). “All I See Is You” will open to the public on October 27 as released by Open Road, the distributor responsible for Oscar-nominated films such as “Spotlight” and “Nightcrawler.”
