Watch: Gorgeously Shot ‘Entertainment’ Trailer Offers Comedy Just As Dry as its California Landscape

Alternative comedians are joining forces in Rick Alverson‘s “Entertainment.” Gregg Turkington stars as the film’s protagonist, ambiguously named The Comedian. We follow The Comedian as he tours the California desert, lost in a vicious cycle of third-rate venues and tourist attractions.

While the tour may seem futile for his career, it is motivated by the search for his estranged daughter. The film vacillates between hallucinatory and real events in The Comedian’s life, and it involves an eclectic cast of characters played by Michael Cera, Gregg Turkington, John C. Reilly and Tye Sheridan.
