As soon as the news broke, users, fans and even indifferent one-time viewers took to Twitter to share their favorite Vines. Popular past videos are trending again, as evidenced by the little fire sign next “Do It for the Vine,” an ear worm of a dance video that spawned multiple parodies and responses. As with anything viral, there is no surefire way to create a killer vine. But like most things on the internet, magic ingredients include children, animals and timely pop-culture references. One thing is certain about nailing the six-second video: It’s all in the timing.
