We’ve already shared a trailer for David Gordon Green‘s upcoming Southern drama “Joe,” which will play at South by Southwest (March 7-16), but here’s an exclusive clip of a rugged Nicolas Cage acting tough with a venomous viper.
“Joe,” which Indiewire’s Eric Kohn called “…a thoughtful portrait of Southern despair,” follows an ex-con played by Cage who becomes an unlikely role model for Gary, played by “Mud”s” Tye Sheridan. In the clip, Cage picks up a deadly snake from the ground and shows it off to his fellow workers and an impressionable Gary.
“Joe” will have a limited release on April 11.
