“This year has two fat-ass Easter eggs,” Bruce Campbell told critics at the Television Critics Association in August about Season 2 of “Ash vs. Evil Dead.” “You’ll go, ‘Holy crap!’ at the first one, and then at the second, you’ll go, ‘I didn’t think there could be a bigger holy crap but there it is!’”

Season 2 of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” begins with Ash (Campbell) leaving Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove where he confronts Ruby (Lucy Lawless). The former enemies will have to form an alliance as the town soon becomes the home grounds for evil.

This new season also sees the addition of Lee Majors as Ash’s father, Joel Tobeck will portray villain Baal and Sam Raimi’s brother, Ted Raimi, will play Ash’s childhood friend Chet Kaminski.

“Ash vs. Evil Dead” second episode, “The Morgue,” will air Sunday, October 9 on Starz.
