Watch: Brian Knappenberger Sounds Off on SOPA and ‘The Internet’s Own Boy’

In partnership with Los Angeles’s International Documentary Association, KCRW’s Matt Holzman interviewed documentary filmmaker Brian Knappenberger (“We Are Legion”) about his new project “The Internet’s Own Boy.”

The film tells the story of Aaron Swartz, an influential computer programmer and hacktivist. In 2013, Swartz killed himself while under investigation for downloading academic journal articles. Swartz played a major role in creating the web feed format RSS, the organization Creative Commons and website Reddit.
