Watch: Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Reunite as Pawn Stars in New Emmys Ad with Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Watch: Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Reunite Pawn Stars New Emmys Ad with Julia Louis-Dreyfus

With the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards coming up in just six days, the ad engine is getting into gear. In a wise move from the Television Academy, a new commercial has been released online highlighting the Emmy nominees rather than the show’s host. Which is a smart move — there’s nothing wrong with Seth Myers, but the stars of “Breaking Bad” are more likely to put butts in seats than NBC’s new Late Night host.

In the video below, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul team up once more, this time as fake pawn store owners looking to buy an Emmy statue from Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The duo’s chemistry is still, um, high as they barter with the multiple Emmy-winning actress, discussing the relative value of her “Seinfeld” statue (if it had been for drama instead of comedy) and lead actor (rather than supporting).

Sponsored by Audi, the ad takes an off-beat twist in its final act, but it’s hard to top the immediate sight of Cranston in those boots and Paul in overalls spitting chew. Check it out below, and tune into the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards August 25 at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
