Watch: Jessica Alba, Eva Green and Rosario Dawson Certainly are Dames Kill New 'Sin City' Red Band Trailer

It’s been a long wait for Robert Rodriguez‘s and Frank Miller‘s “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” a sexy crime thriller based on the graphic novel (and sequel film to 2005’s “Sin City”). But a new red band trailer, which premiered at Comic-Con, should hold fans and soon-to-be-fans off for a while longer.

The lengthy, but exhilarating trailer opens with an anxious Jessica Alba, who also appeared in the first film, smoking a cigarette. It quickly spirals into a wild showcase for the other actors, including a devious Eva Green, deliciously sassy Rosario Dawson, mysterious Josh Brolin and an arrogant Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Sure, it’s really just a continuation of what we’ve already seen of the blockbuster, but the film also exemplifies the ongoing success of director Robert Rodriguez, who recently launched his own TV channel El Rey and is behind films such as “El Mariachi,” “From Dusk Till Dawn” and “Spy Kids.”

“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” will make its way to theaters August 22. You can check out the red band trailer below.
