Nearly a month after dropping a quick teaser that introduced viewers to the cast of the film, Universal Pictures has released a full length trailer for Oscar winner Danny Boyle‘s biographical drama, “Steve Jobs.”
Starring Michael Fassbender as the late Apple co-founder and CEO, and adapted by Aaron Sorkin from Walter Isaacson’s bestseller of the same name, the film uses three product launches — ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac — to frame Jobs’ life and take the viewer behind the scenes of his digital revolution and brilliant, troubled mind. Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Katherine Waterston and Michael Stulhbarg co-star.
Considering the A-list talent behind and in front of the camera, plus the drama’s October 9 release date, it’s safe to assume Universal Pictures is banking on “Steve Jobs” to be a key player in the upcoming awards season. The feature will hit theaters a month after Alex Gibney’s critical documentary, “Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine.”
