IFC Midnight Acquires North American Rights to Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Outpost 37’

IFC Midnight has acquired the rights to the science fiction thriller “Outpost 37.” The film centers on a documentary crew embedded with an elite unit of soldiers fighting to save mankind in the aftermath of a devastating alien invasion.

“Outpost 37” marks Jabbar Raisani’s feature directorial debut. For the majority of his career thus far, Raisani has worked in visual effects — including the “Fantastic Four,” “Superman Returns,” “Machete,” and most recently, 10 episodes of HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” On “Outpost 37,” Raisani not only directed, but also served as the film’s visual effects supervisor.

Adrian Paul, who starred in the long-running fantasy, sci-fi television series “Highlander” from the 1990s, co-stars in “Outpost 37” alongside Reiley McClendon of ABC Family’s “The Fosters” and Douglas Tait.
