Mads Mikkelsen Stars as a Hitman in Compelling Ford Short Film ‘Le Fantôme’
The new short film “Le Fantôme” (The Ghost), created for the new Ford Edge SUV, centers around an enigmatic stranger and a couple who no longer exist.
Directed by Jake Scott and starring Mads Mikkelsen, the dramatic eight-minute movie shows the “Hannibal” actor as a hitman in pursuit of a couple starting a new life under witness protection. As he watches the pair closely and is about to attack, he gets distracted after catching a glimpse of the new Ford vehicle from afar.
“Everyday we make choices, choices that shape our lives and sometimes the lives of others,” Mikkelsen says before he breaks into the couples garage and checks out the mesmerizing car.
Shot on location in Croatia, the short also features Barbara Steele, best known for starring in gothic horror movies in the 1960s, Jon Campling, James Brown, Karin Perathoner and Zarco Radic.
Mikkelsen will next be seen in “Doctor Strange,” out November 4, and the forthcoming “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” Scott’s credits include the 2010 drama “Welcome to the Rileys,” starring Kristen Stewart, and music videos for artist like Radiohead, U2, and R.E.M., among others.
