‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer: The Battle Comes to Wakanda, and Black Panther Is Ready — Watch

There’s a war coming…an infinity war. As that’s the most dreaded kind of war, it’ll require an especially large group of good guys to win. Lucky, then, that just such a group has been gathering — assembling, even — over the course of nearly 20 movies produced in the last 10 years. Yes, dear reader, “Avengers: Infinity War” is nearly upon us, and so it is now time to watch another trailer for it.

“When you said we we’re going to open Wakanda to the rest of the world, this was not what I imagined,” Okoye (Danai Gurira) tells T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in a rare moment of levity among all the infinity warring. Asked what she did imagine, she responds, “Olympics, maybe even a Starbucks.”

Marvel’s latest offering is its biggest yet, and potentially the most consequential: Anthony and Joe Russo recently asked fans to maintain “the same level of secrecy” as members of the press this time around, as “only a handful of people know the film’s true plot.”

The ensemble is very, very large: Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Benicio del Toro, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Paul Rudd, Don Cheadle, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Gwyneth Paltrow all appear in “Infinity War.” The film arrives in theaters on April 27.
