“The Simpsons” sure love them some Bill Plympton. The indie animator provided the couch gag for tonight’s episode, his third for the long-running Fox series, and it’s a great one in Plympton’s signature style involving flipping through surreal universes as the family remains seated. The episode also includes a tribute to the work of Hayao Miyazaki, making it a particularly nice one for animation fans — check out the Plympton couch gag below.
