If Shia LaBeouf’s public life was the subject of a television series — which it is in a way, but that is a discussion for another time — up-and-coming comedian Rob Cantor would receive the top writing credit for the current episode.

The episode in question is actually a video that Cantor released on his YouTube channel — a video in which Cantor performs “Shia LaBeouf,” a hyperbolic song about a cannibal that shares the same name as the famous young actor.

In spite of the absurd, dry humor that characterizes the lyrics of the song, Cantor and his musical companions — The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, The West Los Angeles Children’s Choir and The Argus Quartet — take the performance very seriously. Their execution is flawless and hypnotic. Even LaBeouf has to agree.
