'Boulevard,' Featuring Robin Williams' Final Dramatic Role, Acquired Starz Digital

Starz Digital has announced the acquisition of North American rights to “Boulevard,” Robin Williams‘ final dramatic performance.
The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014 and was directed by Dito Montiel (“A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints”). The story, with a screenplay by Douglas Soesbe, follows a closeted 60-year-old bank manager, played by Williams, whose sham marriage is threatened by his budding relationship with a young male prostitute. The film also stars Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”), Kathy Baker and Roberto Aguire.
“Boulevard is a complex, life-affirming and surprising film and Robin’s final performance is absolutely remarkable,” said Kevin Kasha, head of acquisitions for Starz.
“Boulevard” will open in New York and other markets beginning July 17.
