Wide

The BFG

Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants—rather than the BFG—she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

The Legend of Tarzan
Director: David Yates

Carnage Park

Cast: Alan Ruck, Ashley Bell, Darby Stanchfield, Graham Skipper, James Landry Hebért, Larry Fessenden, Michael Villar, Pat Healy
Synopsis: The year is 1978. After botching an ill-conceived bank robbery in a desolate California town, two wannabe crooks named Scorpion Joe and Lenny flee the scene with a hostage, Vivian, and lead the local lawmen on a dangerous high-speed chase. With his partner suffering from a gunshot wound and losing blood fast, Joe takes to the back roads to dodge the heat, but he unwittingly steers them into the path of a far more dangerous evil: a psychotic ex-military sniper who doesn’t take kindly to strangers. Thrust into a wicked game of cat and mouse with a highly trained and mentally imbalanced killer, they begin a harrowing fight for survival.

The Innocents

Cast: Agata Buzek, Agata Kulesza, Anna Próchniak, Dorota Kuduk, Eliza Rycembel, Helena Sujecka, Joanna Kulig, Katarzyna Dąbrowska, Klara Bielawka, Lou de Laâge, Vincent Macaigne
Synopsis: Warsaw, December 1945: the second World War is finally over and Mathilde is treating the last of the French survivors of the German camps. When a panicked Benedictine nun appears at the clinic one night begging Mathilde to follow her back to the convent, what she finds there is shocking: a holy sister about to give birth and several more in advanced stages of pregnancy. A non-believer, Mathilde enters the sisters’ fiercely private world, dictated by the rituals of their order and the strict Rev. Mother (Agata Kulesza, Ida). Fearing the shame of exposure, the hostility of the new anti-Catholic Communist government, and facing an unprecedented crisis of faith, the nuns increasingly turn to Mathilde as their belief and traditions clash with harsh realities.

Life, Animated
Director: Roger Ross Williams
Synopsis: At three years old, a chatty, energetic little boy named Owen Suskind ceased to speak, disappearing into autism with apparently no way out. Almost four years passed and the only stimuli that engaged Owen were Disney films. Then one day, his father donned a puppet—Iago, the wisecracking parrot from Aladdin—and asked ‘what’s it like to be you?’ And poof! Owen replied, with dialogue from the movie. ‘Life, Animated’ tells the remarkable story of how Owen found in Disney animation a pathway to language and a framework for making sense of the world.

Marauders
Director: Steven C. Miller
Cast: Adrian Grenier, Bruce Willis, Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista, Johnathon Schaech, Lydia Hull, Texas Battle, Tyler Jon Olson
Synopsis: When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner (Bruce Willis) and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier) dig deeper into the case — and the deadly heists continue — it becomes clear that a larger conspiracy is at play.

Microbe and Gasoline

When Dima asks for their help to deliver classified information to the British Secret Services, Perry and Gail get caught in a dangerous world of international espionage and dirty politics. The couple is propelled on a perilous journey through Paris and Bern, a safe house in the French Alps, to the murky corners of the City of London and an alliance with the British Government via a ruthless and determined MI6 agent.

Roseanne for President!
