James Franco Endorses ‘Most Interesting Woman in the World’ Hillary Clinton in Funny Video
James Franco doesn’t always endorse presidential candidates, but when he does they’re extraordinary. The actor and filmmaker is officially backing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.
In a 30-second video, a play off the Dos Equis beer “Most Interesting Man in the World” campaign, Franco explains why she’s the best candidate for the presidency while old photos and videos of Clinton appear on screen.
“The smartest guy in the room is always her,” Franco begins. “After she opens a can of whoop-ass she always recycles the can. Her secret service code name is Hermione because she is a f**cking wizard…She’s the most interesting woman in the world.”
The ad was launched by EMILY’s List WOMEN VOTE!, Priorities USA, and Schlep Laps. In a statement, Franco said that Clinton has led an amazing life and, “It is not a stretch to describe her as ‘the most interesting woman in the world. I got involved in this project because I wanted more people, particularly younger people, to get to know an extraordinary woman who has, through a lifetime a work, earned our trust and support.”
Franco joins the long list of celebrities endorsing Clinton including Katy Perry, Lena Dunham, Robert De Niro, Jay Z, Ellen DeGeneres and many more.
