Though the 28th annual Virginia Film Festival released its official lineup last week, including awards favorites “Son of Saul” and “Carol,” it has been announced that 20 more films will be added to the prestigious slate.
The festival adds the Saoirse Ronan-starring “Brooklyn,” Paulo Sorrentino’s “Youth,” indie favorite “Krisha” and Laurie Anderson’s “Heart of a Dog.” Other titles include “Paradise, FL,” “Lucifer,” and “Embrace of the Serpent.” Alex Neustaedter, the young star of “Ithica,” will be included in a post-screening discussion with director Meg Ryan, actor Lois Robbins and producer Janet Brenner. Tickets for the new films will go on sale to the public tomorrow, October 9.
The VFF is presented by the University of Viriginia and the Office of the Provost and Vice Provost for the Arts and will be held in Charlottesville from November 5-8. For a full schedule and more information, visit the Virginia Film Festival’s official website.
