IFC Films Acquires Angus MacLachlan's Internet Drama 'Goodbye All That'

IFC Films has acquired all North American distribution rights to “Goodbye To All That,” the directorial debut of “Junebug” screenwriter Angus MacLaughlin. The dramedy stars Paul Schneider, Melanie Lynskey, Audrey P. Scott, Amy Sedaris, Anna Camp and Heather Graham.

Schneider, in a performance that won him the Best Actor in a Narrative Feature award at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, stars as Otto Wall, a suburban husband who takes to the digital dating world after his marriage falls apart. While surfing the web and finding an unlimited supply of smart, willing woman, Otto soon begins to realize the most important female figure in his life is his nine-year-old daughter.

“Angus’ screenplay for ‘Goodbye To All That’ is as heartfelt and subtle as his breakout, ‘Junebug.’ He proves himself here equally as impressive a director as writer,” said Jonathan Sehring, President of Sundance Selects/IFC Films.

IFC Films will release the film in December.
