Project of the Day: 'Rendezvous'

Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress; at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

“Rendezvous”

Tweetable Logline: A daring Congressman strikes a deal with a foreign specialist to off his much younger wife, but she’s already a step ahead of him.

Elevator Pitch:
A New Hampshire Congressman’s scheme to have his younger wife killed is nearly foiled after she makes sudden plans to visit her mother in Maine. When icy road conditions limit her travel, she takes refuge in an historic inn. Now, the instinct that pushed her toward safety may have betrayed her, as she suspects the inn’s only other resident is a man hired to kill her.

Production Team:

Writer/Producer: Seth Kozak
Director/Co-Producer: Damian Veilleux
Cinematographer/Producer: Michael Cole
First Assistant Director: Hristo Dimitrov (Expendables 2)
Composer: Two-time Emmy-nominee, Howard Pearl (Roseanne)
Colorist: Adrian DeLude (Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean)

About the Production:I wanted to write a suspenseful story that Hitchcock would want to direct. After the script won Best Suspense-Thriller at the Cleveland Indie Gathering, and a Silver Remi for Best (overall) Short Screenplay at the 47th WorldFest Houston, I knew I had something to build a production with. I approached the best talent I could find, handed them the script, and they were all on-board. This includes Emmy-winning actor David Lago, Emmy-nominated Composer, Howard Pearl, and many other talented people. We’ve made substantial preparations to deliver an excellent movie, which we hope inspires enough backers to help fund the production.

Current Status: Currently fundraising on Kickstarter, and in final stages of pre-production. Production will start in mid-March in central Maine.
