The first season of “Dear White People” had a lot on its mind. From the first look of things in Season 2, that’s not about to change.

Aside from the fact that fans can expect Season 2 in just a few weeks, the next 10 episodes have enough in them for a quick rundown of the issues that’ll make up most of the runtime. Netflix released a teaser of what’s on the horizon, including some fireworks from the Winchester University favorites from last season. Sam (Logan Browning) is back behind the mic, Reggie (Marque Richardson) and Gabe (John Patrick Amedori) are back in discussions of race on campus, Lionel (DeRon Horton) may have found himself a boyfriend, and Troy (Brandon P. Bell) has his shirt off again. (Something for everyone.)

This also gives a lightning-quick glimpse at Winchester newcomer Lena Waithe. Her show-within-a-show rapper P Ninny figures to be one of the highlights of this sophomore season. (More on how the show pulled off last year’s “Scandal” parody here.)

Last time new episodes dropped on Netflix, “Dear White People” ended up on our year-end Top 10 Best Shows list. We’ll see if the same happens in 2018.

For a quick rundown of everything to expect this season (including a very good Katy Perry joke), watch the Season 2 teaser below:

“Dear White People” returns to Netflix May 4.
