Everyone’s favorite narcissist, a Mr. Kanye West, is getting a movie, a Kanye movie.

Bret Easton Ellis, controversial author of the novel “American Psycho” and screenwriter of the soon-to-be modern classic film “The Canyons” told Vice that he is writing a script for the rapper. Although no plot details or release dates have been announced, Ellis has confirmed his desire to work with the rapper after listening to his latest album, “Yeezus.”

“He came and asked me to write the film. I didn’t want to at first. Then I listened to ‘Yeezus’,” Ellis told Vice in a recent interview. “It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He’d given
me an advance copy, and I thought, regardless of whether I’m right for
this project, I want to work with whoever made this.”

For “The Canyons,” Ellis worked with Lindsay Lohan, queen of the tabloids at the time. It seems like he wants to continue to work with big personalities. And so it goes.
