‘Stranger Things’ Star Reveals Donald Trump’s Sexism in the Workplace
Donald Trump has been accused of sexist behavior in the past by many women, and now “Stranger Things” star Matthew Modine, who portrays Dr. Martin Brenner, alleged that the Republican presidential candidate would sexually degrade his employees in his own office.
“I know someone who took a summer intern job with him, a 15-year-old boy, who noticed one day that the secretaries didn’t really speak English, that they didn’t know how to type, that they didn’t really know how to do secretarial work,” Modine – who is “good friends” with Trump’s brother, Robert – told Variety. “He thought it was his duty to tell Donald that they weren’t proficient at their secretarial work and he said, ‘Hey kid, I don’t hire them to be secretaries. Watch this.’”
“He put some papers down on the floor, and he rang the secretary to come in to his desk, and said ‘can you pick up those paper?’ It was all for the purpose of having the woman bend over and pick them up,” he explained. Adding, “He was teaching a 15-year-old, this is how you treat women and these are the women that you want to have around your office.”

Trump has been under fire since the leaked Access Hollywood tape where he boasted about groping women. Since then, many women have stepped forward and accused him of sexual assault.
Speaking about Trump’s lewd comments made on the bus, Modine said, “It’s embarrassing to call it locker room talk, because anyone who was ever an athlete and spent time in a locker room, I spent a lot of time in locker rooms, and I’ve never heard anybody talk about women the way that he’s spoken about women.”
“What you want is someone who knows how to do the job, regardless of their sex or their sexual orientation,” he added. “You want someone who can reach across the aisle and fix this two-party system that’s so broken in the country.”
