Netflix and Hulu have been scooping up exclusive streaming rights for international series — while Hulu’s home to Chris O’Dowd’s “Moone Boy” and the original Scandinavian version of “The Bridge,” Netflix picked up Gillian Anderson’s British series “The Fall” and now, according to Variety, “Short Poppies.”

“Short Poppies” is a current affairs-style spoof created and written by New Zealand comedian Rhys Darby, who played manager Murray Hewitt on “Flight of the Conchords.” Journalist David Farrier, playing himself, goes on a quest to find the average Kiwi, and meets seven small town characters, all played by Darby.

The eight-episode series will launch exclusively on April 3rd for Netflix subscribers in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. Check out a clip (featuring Stephen Merchant) below:
