Iconic French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent has already gotten the biopic treatment courtesy of Jalil Lespert’s eponymous drama last summer, but that isn’t stopping director Bertrand Bonello from giving audiences his own spin on the wild life of the fashion visionary.

Starring Gaspard Ulliel in the titular role, “Saint Laurent” tracks the life and inspirations of the designer who forever changed the world of haute couture. The film was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics soon after its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

“Saint Laurent” co-stars Lea Seydoux, Louis Garrel, Helmut Berger and Dominique Sanda. SPC will be kicking off their summer slate by releasing the film on May 8.
